Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Saucepan
  • Strainer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cubed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz pasta shells
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Pat steak cubes dry, season with salt and pepper, and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Lower heat to medium, melt butter in the skillet, add minced garlic, and cook for 30 seconds. Return steak bites and coat in garlic butter. Remove from heat.
  • Cook pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain, reserving ¼ cup pasta water.
  • In a saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat. Stir in Parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth. Adjust with reserved pasta water if needed.
  • Stir pasta shells into the Alfredo sauce. Add cheddar cheese and mix until melted and creamy.
  • Serve steak bites alongside loaded shells. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy warm.

Notes

Patting steak dry before searing ensures a golden crust. Add a splash of milk or cream when reheating to keep the pasta creamy.
